How to cook vegetable korma?

Today, lets look into a tasty and healthy Indian curry called vegetable korma. It is mild, saucy and can be eaten with both rice and roti. Now, lets see it the ingredients needed

vegetable kurma


Oil – 2 tbsp.

Broken cashews – 2 tbsp.

Golden raisins – 1tbsp.

Bay leaf – 1

Cinnamon stick – 1 piece

Whole cloves – 7

Pepper – ¼ tsp.

Broken cashews – ¼ cup

Onions – 2 medium finely chopped

Salt – to taste

Turmeric powder – ½ tbsp.

Ginger & garlic paste – 2 tbsp.

Green chilies finely chopped – to taste

Cumin powder – 1 tbsp.

Coriander powder – 1 tbsp.

Red chili powder – to taste

Whole milk – 5 oz.

Yogurt well beaten – ½ cup

Paneer cubed – ½ cup

Tomato cubed – 1

Carrots cubed – 2 medium sized

Cauliflower pieces – 1 cup

Potatoes cubed – 2 medium sized

Frozen green peas – 1 cup

Green beans cut to 1 inch pieces – 1 cup

Cilantro finely chopped – ½ cup





1.firstly, put a chef’s pan on stove and on medium heat and pour oil into it and let it

heat for a minute.


2.now add the 2tbsp of broken cashews and golden raisins into the oil and fry them

for a bit and take them out and keep them aside, these are used to garnish the dish.


3.now in the same oil add the bay leaf, cinnamon stick, whole cloves, pepper and

quick roast them.


4.now add the other cashews which are kept aside and onions, now add a bit of salt

around ½ tbsp and turmeric powder and now roast the mixture on medium flame

and keep an eye on that so that it does not turn black.


5.now take the carrots, cauliflower, frozen peas into a microwave safe bowl

and sprinkle a bit of salt onto see that it mixes well and add ½ cup of water and

microwave it for 5 minutes.


6.now, lets turns the onion mixture once and add ginger , garlic and green chilies

and cook it for 2 minutes and turn the stove off and let it cool a bit.


7.now remove the veggies that are microwaved and now follow the same process

and put potatoes in the microwave for 5 minutes.


8.after potatoes put green beans in with same process in the microwave for



9.now, after onions cool down grind the whole mixture into fine paste.


10.now,again on the stove and put the paste into it and stir the paste and add the

dry spices like cumin powder , coriander powder and the red chili powder and a ¼

cup of water and mix it so that the spices would not burn.


11.after the water is soaked into the paste add paneer and tomato and let it cook for

around 2 minutes with eventual stirring.


12.now set the stove in low and add milk slowly into the mixture and after its well

mixed with stirring add yogurt that is well beaten and mix it.


13.now add all the vegetables that are microwaved with the water they contain into

the mixture and mix them really well


14.eventually stir it for 2 minutes and put the cap on the pan and leave it for 5

minutes in low.


15.after 5 minutes now it’s the time to garnish add the kept aside cashews, golden

raisins and cilantro and mix the whole curry thoroughly.
