Easy Barbeque Recipe: Chicken/Vegetables

One of the things I have always been fascinated with is cooking outdoors. Not only does it feel good, it is great to make And the flavors of a barbeque are unbeatable. So here is my recipe for a barbeque that is super simple to make, and tastes just outstanding.

The recipe is good for vegetables and meat alike. I like the flavor of the chicken and just how tender it is when done. You can use any vegetables you fancy. Though I have a preference for onions and bell peppers, corn, pineapple, broccoli and cauliflower are also used widely.


1 lb chicken thighs (boneless/skinless)-Chicken drumsticks can also be used

1 onion chopped in big pieces

1 bell pepper chopped in big pieces

1 cup Yogurt

Salt to taste

1 tsp Red Chilli powder

1/4 tsp Turmeric

1 tsp Chat Masala

1 tsp Fresh Garlic minced

1 tsp Fresh Ginger minced

1 tsp Tandoori Chicken masala

1 tsp Dry Mango Powder/Amchur

1/2 lemon


Clean the chicken and cut into bite sized pieces. Mix all the ingredients and marinade for 30 minutes. Insert chicken and vegetables on skewers for the barbeque. Remember to spray oil onto the food before cooking in the bbq. Keep bbq on high and place skewers on grill. Turn skewers every 5 minutes. Cook until tender, or for 15-20 minutes. When cooking chicken, make sure it is not overdone, else it will get hard. If it is just vegetables, slightly overdone vegetables give a unique flavor. You can also cook chicken and vegetables separately.
